Job Context

• Varendra University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Legal Advisor to provide professional legal support, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and safeguard the university’s legal interests in all academic, administrative, and institutional matters.
• The Legal Advisor will act as a key consultant to the university management, offering legal opinions, reviewing documents, and handling institutional legal issues when required. This role requires strong expertise in educational law, contract law, and regulatory compliance within Bangladesh.
• The ideal candidate will ensure that all university activities are legally sound, reduce legal risks, and support smooth administrative operations through proper legal guidance and documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and opinion to the university on various legal matters
• Review and guide on contracts, agreements, policies, and institutional legal documents
• Assist in handling legal disputes, litigation strategy, and court-related matters in coordination with appointed lawyers
• Ensure compliance of university activities with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Support the university authority in drafting legal notices, replies, and official communications
• Provide guidance on regulatory issues and institutional governance matters
