Job Description
  • This position is for an ICLA Technical Assistant working with refugee and host community populations in Cox’s Bazar. The role focuses on providing legal information, counselling, documentation support, and case management under the Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme. The candidate must have a strong background in law or social sciences, experience in humanitarian or refugee settings, and knowledge of legal identity, housing land and property (HLP) rights, and protection frameworks.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Support delivery of ICLA case management services including legal counselling and assistance
  • Conduct legal information sessions, outreach activities, and helpdesk support in camps
  • Assist in documentation of legal, protection, and HLP-related cases
  • Maintain accurate case files, referral records, and programme documentation
  • Support Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and community engagement activities
  • Collect and verify data for reporting and case tracking systems
  • Coordinate with NRC teams, NGOs, and camp-level stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality, informed consent, and do-no-harm principles in all activities
  • Assist in legal identity and civil documentation support for beneficiaries
  • Support referrals to relevant service providers and follow-up on cases
  • Contribute to reporting, monitoring, and information management tasks
  • Use digital tools (Excel, Kobo Toolbox, case management systems) for data entry and reporting
