Job Description
  • This position is a healthcare supply chain and procurement support role within a hospital environment. The Jr. Officer/Officer will be responsible for managing medical and non-medical inventory, ensuring timely procurement and distribution of hospital supplies, coordinating with vendors and departments, and maintaining accurate stock records. The role focuses on ensuring uninterrupted supply of essential hospital materials to support smooth healthcare operations.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Manage procurement and supply chain activities for hospital materials and equipment
  • Ensure timely availability of medical and non-medical supplies in all departments
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of hospital stock and consumables
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and procurement agencies
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare replenishment requests
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of medical supplies
  • Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoice processing
  • Work closely with pharmacy, administration, and clinical departments
  • Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies and procedures
  • Assist in tendering, quotation collection, and vendor evaluation processes
  • Maintain database of suppliers and procurement history
  • Reduce stock shortages, wastage, and overstock situations
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly supply chain reports
  • Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Support emergency procurement for critical hospital needs
  • Coordinate with logistics teams for timely delivery of supplies
