Job Description

Greenland Group is seeking experienced Fire Watchers / Fire Watchmen for a major construction project under China State in Saudi Arabia. The role involves monitoring hot work activities, identifying fire hazards, ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards, and responding promptly to emergency situations. The selected candidates will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment at project sites.

Responsibilities & Context

Monitor welding, cutting, grinding, and other hot work activities to prevent fire incidents.

Identify and report potential fire hazards and unsafe conditions at the worksite.

Ensure fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment are available and operational.

Maintain continuous surveillance during and after hot work operations.

Follow site safety procedures and fire prevention regulations.

Conduct routine inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Respond quickly to fire emergencies and initiate appropriate safety measures.

Coordinate with safety officers and supervisors regarding fire safety concerns.

Keep accurate records of fire watch activities and incident reports.

Support overall site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives.
