Job Description
  • Eastern Bank PLC is seeking experienced and detail-oriented banking professionals for the position of Branch Operations Manager (BOM) to strengthen operational efficiency across its branch network. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining operational controls, managing cash and vault activities, and delivering high-quality banking services. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong operational knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy, compliance, and service excellence in a dynamic banking environment.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant banking services.
  • Ensure compliance with AML, CFT, regulatory requirements, and internal banking policies.
  • Authorize financial and non-financial transactions after proper verification and documentation.
  • Supervise cash operations, vault management, and custodianship of security items.
  • Monitor branch General Ledger (GL), suspense accounts, reconciliations, and financial records.
  • Ensure smooth execution of clearing operations, locker services, and other branch operational activities.
  • Lead, coach, and monitor Cash Officers to achieve operational KPIs and service standards.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to minimize operational and compliance risks.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and regulatory authorities for timely reporting and operational updates.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of operational issues while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Monitor branch performance to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance branch productivity and customer satisfaction.
