Job Description
  • VARD Eye Care Services (VARD-ECS) Ltd. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant (Cash, Store & Logistic) to support the financial and operational activities of its eye hospital in Osmaninagar, Sylhet. The role involves managing accounting records, cash transactions, inventory, logistics, fixed assets, and procurement documentation while ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient store operations. This position is ideal for professionals with strong accounting knowledge, inventory management experience, and the ability to maintain financial accuracy in a healthcare or NGO environment.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure accurate cash reconciliation and documentation.
  • Maintain computerized accounting records using accounting software and prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Prepare bills, payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting financial documents.
  • Oversee inventory, logistics, and central store operations to ensure timely availability of supplies.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation as required.
  • Verify procurement requests and support purchasing activities through proper documentation.
  • Monitor and verify stock levels of pharmacy, medical equipment, and other hospital departments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare stock verification reports for management.
  • Coordinate the distribution of logistics and supplies to different hospital units.
  • Perform banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payment processing.
  • Maintain employee leave records, personnel files, and organizational documentation.
  • Ensure proper filing and secure preservation of financial and administrative records.
  • Assist the Finance and Hospital Management team with accounting, reporting, and other assigned operational tasks.
