Job Description
  • Gawsia Group is hiring for the position of Sr. Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Accounts & Finance in Dhaka (Motijheel). This role is designed for an experienced finance professional to manage accounting operations, taxation, VAT compliance, financial reporting, and internal control systems within a real estate/developer-based group company. The position requires strong expertise in IAS/IFRS, tax laws, and construction-sector financial management.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Maintain and manage complete financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow)
  • Handle inter-company reconciliations and group-level financial reporting
  • Provide MIS reports and financial analysis for management decision-making
  • Manage bills, vouchers, cheque issuance, and payment processing with proper documentation
  • Supervise bank transactions and ensure monthly bank reconciliation and cash flow management
  • Verify source documents including bills, vouchers, requisitions, and delivery challans
  • Ensure VAT compliance including Tax Invoice (Mushak-6.3) and VAT Return submission (Mushak-9.1)
  • Handle corporate tax planning, TDS, VDS, AIT, and annual tax return preparation
  • Monitor project costing, budgeting, and profitability analysis (especially real estate/construction projects)
  • Develop and implement internal control systems, financial policies, and procedures
  • Verify inventory balances through physical stock counting and reconciliation
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audit completion and compliance
  • Review salary, wages, and overtime (OT) sheets for employees
  • Lead and supervise junior staff and ensure company financial discipline
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management
