Job Description
  • Rights Jessore is looking for an Admin & Accounts Officer for its project activities based in Jashore, with frequent visits to Faridpur, Madaripur, and Shariatpur. The selected candidate will be responsible for financial management, administrative support, logistics coordination, procurement support, documentation, and compliance with organizational, donor, and government requirements.
  • The role includes working closely with the Project Coordinator, District Program Officers, and the Finance and Administration team to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Maintain project financial records, including cash books, ledgers, journals, bank books, and financial registers.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, verify supporting documents, process payments, and maintain proper financial documentation.
  • Monitor project expenses against the approved budget and support budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, cash forecasts, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports.
  • Process and document payments related to training, workshops, awareness sessions, meetings, beneficiary support, and small grants.
  • Maintain records of participant allowances, venue rent, transportation costs, training materials, and other project expenses.
  • Maintain proper filing systems for financial, administrative, procurement, and project documents.
  • Maintain attendance registers, leave records, movement registers, personnel files, and other administrative records.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, meetings, advocacy events, and field visits.
  • Support procurement activities, including purchase requests, quotations, procurement records, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain project inventory and fixed asset registers.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and documentation of project assets and equipment.
  • Communicate with banks, service providers, government offices, and other stakeholders when required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor rules, tax, VAT, and government regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits, donor monitoring visits, and financial reviews.
  • Coordinate with project and finance teams for effective project implementation.
  • Perform any other finance, administration, procurement, or logistics-related duties assigned by the authority.
