Job Description
  • BIHS General Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced female medical professional for a senior academic and clinical position in the Department of Cardiology. The selected candidate will provide specialized cardiac care, contribute to medical education, supervise junior doctors, and support the department’s clinical and academic activities. Candidates must possess an FCPS qualification and meet the latest eligibility and experience requirements established by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Provide specialized consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients’ clinical progress and modify treatment when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.
  • Supervise junior doctors, medical officers, interns, and other clinical staff.
  • Support bedside teaching, clinical demonstrations, and professional training.
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and academic sessions when required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, clinical discussions, and case presentations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
  • Support clinical research, audits, publications, and continuous medical education.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
  • Follow BMDC regulations, clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and patient-safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in developing and improving cardiology services and departmental procedures.
  • Perform additional clinical, academic, or administrative duties assigned by the hospital authority.
