Job Description
  • BIHS General Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced female medical professional for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases. The selected candidate will provide specialized dermatology and venereology services, contribute to clinical education, supervise junior doctors, and support the department’s academic and patient-care activities. Candidates must hold an FCPS, MD, DVD, or equivalent qualification in Dermatology and Venereology and meet the latest BMDC eligibility requirements.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Diagnose and treat patients with skin, hair, nail, and sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide specialized dermatology and venereology consultations.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.
  • Supervise junior doctors, medical officers, interns, and clinical staff.
  • Support bedside teaching, clinical demonstrations, and professional training.
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, case discussions, and academic sessions.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and case reviews.
  • Contribute to research, publications, and Continuous Medical Education activities.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
  • Follow BMDC regulations, ethical requirements, infection-control protocols, and patient-safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, laboratory teams, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support the development and improvement of departmental clinical services.
  • Perform other clinical, academic, or administrative duties assigned by the hospital authority.
