Job Description

People’s Leasing and Financial Services Limited, one of the established and publicly listed non-banking financial institutions in Bangladesh, is inviting applications from competent, experienced, and enthusiastic professionals for the position of Deputy Managing Director. The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the Chairman, Board of Directors, senior management team, regulatory authorities, lenders, financial institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to strengthen the company’s management structure and improve its overall business performance. The position requires a highly experienced financial professional with strong leadership qualities, strategic vision, sound knowledge of banking and non-banking financial operations, and the ability to build and lead an efficient and effective management team. The candidate will play a key role in planning and executing operational activities, achieving business targets, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing organizational risks, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and supporting the company’s long-term objective of becoming one of the leading financial institutions in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities & Context

Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the organization.

Develop and implement plans to transform the company into a leading financial institution.

Organize, plan, supervise, and execute the company’s operational activities.

Achieve business targets set by the Board of Directors.

Monitor, supervise, and guide the company’s management team.

Build an efficient, accountable, and performance-focused leadership team.

Oversee financial performance, business growth, and operational efficiency.

Maintain liaison with Bangladesh Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Communicate and coordinate with banks, financial institutions, lenders, and investors.

Maintain professional relationships with individual and corporate clients.

Work closely with the Chairman and Board of Directors on strategic and operational matters.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies, and governance standards.

Review financial reports, management information, and overall business performance.

Identify financial, operational, regulatory, and business risks.

Recommend appropriate risk-management and corrective measures.

Represent the organization in important regulatory, financial, and corporate meetings.

Support business development and identify new growth opportunities.

Ensure effective implementation of policies and decisions approved by the Board.
