Job Description
  • BRAC is seeking a motivated professional for the position of Outreach Officer, Migration Programme. The selected candidate will carry out field-level awareness and community engagement activities under the guidance of the MRSC Coordinator. The role focuses on providing accurate information about safe migration and human trafficking prevention to vulnerable groups, including at-risk youth, school dropouts, and job seekers. The Outreach Officer will organize community sessions and campaigns, identify high-risk areas, build relationships with local stakeholders, and document field outcomes. The position requires strong communication, coordination, and community-mobilization skills, along with the ability to work with diverse groups and promote safeguarding standards.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Conduct community outreach and awareness sessions on safe migration and human trafficking prevention.
  • Engage youth, school dropouts, job seekers, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Facilitate group discussions and interactive campaigns in schools, colleges, marketplaces, religious institutions, and community locations.
  • Plan and coordinate awareness events for international observances, including the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
  • Identify and map communities at high risk of irregular migration.
  • Conduct field assessments and engage local stakeholders to understand community risks.
  • Coordinate outreach activities with Community Mobilizers, Field Organizers, and volunteers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government officials, community leaders, teachers, religious leaders, and media representatives.
  • Represent BRAC at district-level coordination meetings.
  • Advocate for safe migration, youth empowerment, and anti-human trafficking initiatives.
  • Support localized campaigns and community engagement programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and document field activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure that accurate and reliable information reaches vulnerable communities.
  • Follow BRAC’s safeguarding policies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Report safeguarding incidents according to established procedures.
  • Encourage team members and stakeholders to follow safeguarding standards.
