Job Description
  • Association of Voluntary Actions for Society (AVAS) is inviting applications for the position of Child and Youth Lead (C&YL) under its Sponsorship Funded Programme (SFP) in collaboration with Plan International Bangladesh. The project aims to improve the lives of children, adolescents, youth, and their families in Bhola Sadar through leadership development, child protection, education, youth empowerment, and community engagement initiatives.
  • The Child and Youth Lead will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating child and youth development activities while ensuring meaningful participation, safeguarding, gender equality, and social inclusion. The role requires close collaboration with community volunteers, educational institutions, local government bodies, parents, and other stakeholders to strengthen child rights and youth leadership.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate Child & Youth Leadership (C&YL) project activities.
  • Facilitate child and youth clubs, leadership development programs, and life skills training.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on child rights, safeguarding, gender equality, SRHR, and social inclusion.
  • Coordinate sponsorship communications, beneficiary documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with local government, schools, community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Conduct regular field visits, coaching, monitoring, and follow-up activities to ensure project quality.
  • Prepare reports, case studies, success stories, and maintain project documentation and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, child protection standards, donor guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with ECD, Education, SRHR, Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE), Sponsorship, and Safeguarding teams.
  • Perform additional project-related responsibilities assigned by the Programme Manager.
