The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying customers’ industrial cooling and heating requirements and recommending suitable Thermax products and technical solutions.
The role combines technical engineering knowledge with sales, customer relationship management, proposal preparation, negotiation, and business development. The Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to understand their operational needs, develop techno-commercial proposals, address objections, and convert business opportunities into successful sales.
The position also requires regular communication with customers, collaboration with cross-functional teams, achievement of regional sales targets, and frequent travel across assigned locations.

Understand customers’ cooling, heating, and industrial process requirements.
Identify new sales opportunities by recommending the most suitable Thermax products and solutions.
Develop business opportunities in different industries by replicating successful cooling and heating applications.
Conduct technical discussions with customers to understand their operational challenges.
Prepare and submit complete techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
Recommend appropriate cooling products and technical solutions to prospective clients.
Explain product features, technical specifications, applications, and business benefits to customers.
Handle customer questions, concerns, technical objections, and commercial objections professionally.
Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective customers and move sales leads towards closure.
Negotiate technical and commercial terms with customers.
Close sales opportunities while ensuring beneficial outcomes for both the client and Thermax.
Achieve regional sales targets in terms of revenue, turnover, and number of products sold.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
Identify opportunities for repeat sales, cross-selling, and long-term business development.
Conduct customer training programmes on Thermax products, applications, and operating procedures.
Prepare sales reports, opportunity updates, forecasts, and customer visit reports.
Review contracts, commercial terms, customer requirements, and project-related documents.
Coordinate with engineering, technical, commercial, service, and other cross-functional teams.
Support customers throughout the sales process, from initial enquiry to final transaction.
Monitor market trends, customer demand, industry developments, and competitor activities.
Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, customer communications, and sales activities.
Travel regularly within assigned geographical areas to meet customers and develop business opportunities.
