Job Description
  • CEDAR (Concern for Environmental Development And Research) is recruiting 50 Field Officers (Loan Activities) for its microfinance program in Dhaka, Gazipur, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, and Narsingdi. The role involves managing field-level microcredit operations, including member recruitment, savings and installment collection, loan distribution and recovery, borrower assessment, record keeping, group management, and monitoring income-generating activities. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s/Honors degree, be 20–35 years old, and be willing to spend most of their working time in the field. Previous experience in microfinance activities will be considered an additional qualification. The monthly salary is BDT 20,000–22,000, with additional benefits according to organizational policy.

  • Lead and manage field-level microfinance operations and organize borrower groups.
  • Recruit new members and collect their socioeconomic information for assessment.
  • Verify loan applications and ensure loans are provided to eligible beneficiaries.
  • Disburse loans and ensure regular collection of savings and installments.
  • Monitor borrowers’ income-generating activities and ensure proper utilization of loans.
  • Identify overdue or high-risk loans and take appropriate steps for recovery.
  • Maintain updated passbooks, ledgers, collection sheets, registers, and other financial records.
