Job Description
  • The Senior Manager – Supply Chain will lead Save the Children Bangladesh’s overall Supply Chain Department and provide strategic direction across procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, transportation, customs clearance and fleet administration.
  • The position will also oversee supply chain operations for different programmes, including emergency response activities, with particular focus on Cox’s Bazar operations.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Lead and manage the overall Supply Chain Department.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, systems and procedures.
  • Oversee procurement planning, purchase requisitions and annual sourcing plans.
  • Lead strategic sourcing for high-value procurement categories.
  • Manage transportation, customs clearance, warehousing and inventory operations.
  • Ensure timely and compliant procurement for emergency response programmes.
  • Oversee stock and inventory management and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly supply chain reporting.
  • Lead and manage procurement and supply chain staff.
  • Build staff capacity through training, performance management and development plans.
