Job Description

RAHMAN'S CHAMBERS, Barristers & Advocates is seeking an experienced senior legal professional for the position of Department Head, Intellectual Property & Technology, Media and Telecommunication (IP & TMT).

The role requires a senior legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property, technology, media and telecommunications law, along with strong leadership, client management and legal advisory capabilities.

Bachelor of Law (LLB), Master of Law (LLM)

Responsibilities & Context

Supervise the overall operations and casework of the IP & TMT department.

Lead, manage, motivate and mentor associates and paralegals.

Oversee legal matters relating to intellectual property, technology, media and telecommunications.

Provide strategic legal advice to clients on complex IP & TMT matters.

Manage and review legal work relating to trademarks, patents, copyright and technology-related disputes.

Advise clients on technology transfer, software licensing, data protection and cybersecurity matters.

Provide legal guidance on telecommunications, media, broadcasting and e-commerce issues.

Represent the firm's interests in client discussions and provide senior-level legal counsel.

Ensure quality, accuracy and timely completion of departmental legal work.
