Job Description
  • BRAC is looking for a Senior Manager, Qualitative Research for its Microfinance Programme. The role will lead strategic qualitative research initiatives to generate actionable insights, support evidence-based decision-making, and improve programme effectiveness. The successful candidate will oversee research design, field execution, data analysis, quality assurance, team development, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring ethical and timely delivery of research projects.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Develop and manage the annual qualitative research agenda based on programme priorities and organisational needs.
  • Design research studies, including research questions, FGD, IDI and KII tools, sampling strategies, and analysis frameworks.
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of qualitative data to identify meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare research reports, decision briefs, presentations, and other outputs for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Manage Field Execution and Quality Assurance teams to ensure research activities are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with research ethics, informed consent, confidentiality, data protection, and secure research-data management.
  • Present research findings and translate evidence into practical recommendations for programme improvement and strategic decisions.
