Job Description
  • Jayson Natural Products Ltd., a member of Jayson Group, is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Botanist to support its natural-product operations. The selected candidate will identify, examine, test, document, and preserve medicinal plant materials used in the company’s production processes.
  • The position requires sound botanical knowledge, careful record-keeping, and the ability to maintain plant samples and raw materials according to appropriate storage and quality standards.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Study plants, their biological processes, natural environments, growth conditions, and relevant botanical characteristics.
  • Collect plant samples, conduct necessary examinations and tests, accurately document findings, and maintain updated records.
  • Identify, test, and characterise collected raw plant materials to determine their quality, authenticity, and suitability for intended use.
  • Monitor the storage conditions of plant materials and ensure proper housekeeping, organisation, preservation, and inventory management.
  • Evaluate the effects of pests, weather conditions, pollutants, chemicals, and environmental changes on plants and plant materials.
  • Conduct and document botanical studies related to plant taxonomy, ecology, physiology, genetics, and other relevant areas.
  • Prepare and maintain herbarium sheets and preserve authenticated standard plant specimens with proper certification and supporting records.
