Job Description
  • NOVOCARE HOSPITALS is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (Lab) to join its hospital/diagnostic center team in Jurain, Dhaka. The position is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, collecting and processing patient samples, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring accurate and timely test results. Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience in hospitals, clinics, or diagnostic centers are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Collect blood and other patient samples accurately, including samples from critical pediatric cases.
  • Receive, label, process, and analyze blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens according to standard procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
  • Perform laboratory tests, record observations and results accurately, and identify abnormalities or trends in test data.
  • Ensure proper calibration and functioning of laboratory equipment and verify the quality and expiry dates of chemicals and reagents.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling of chemicals, fluids, compressed gases, and laboratory materials in compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols, quality-control procedures, and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
