Job Description
  • VARD Eye Care Services (VARD-ECS) Ltd., a non-profit organization and sister concern of VARD, is seeking Block Nurses for its eye hospitals in Osmaninagar, Sylhet and Chouddagram, Cumilla. The selected candidates will support eye-care and surgical services, assist senior eye specialists and surgeons, and ensure proper patient care before and during minor eye surgeries.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Provide minor anesthesia to eye patients before surgery as required.
  • Conduct routine patient checkups before administering minor anesthesia.
  • Counsel and prepare patients before eye surgery.
  • Maintain accurate patient registers and necessary medical records.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical and surgical equipment according to required standards.
  • Assist Senior Eye Hospital Specialists and Surgeons during surgical procedures.
  • Ensure patients are properly prepared and supported before and after procedures.
  • Monitor patients and promptly report any abnormal condition to the concerned medical professional.
  • Follow proper infection-control, safety and patient-care procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the OT In-charge and Senior Eye Hospital Specialist/Surgeon.
