UCEP Bangladesh is looking for a qualified Senior Officer, Legal Affairs to support its Legal Affairs Unit. The position will be responsible for handling land-related matters, legal documentation, statutory compliance, contracts, litigation support, and other legal affairs of the organization. The incumbent will ensure that UCEP Bangladesh’s activities remain compliant with applicable laws, regulations, governance requirements, and internal policies while providing timely legal advice and support to management.

Responsibilities & Context
Ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws, statutory requirements, governance practices, policies, and guidelines.
Prepare, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, agreements, deeds, Power of Attorney, legal notices, and other legal instruments.
Conduct legal vetting of land and property documents, including sale deeds, gift deeds, partition deeds, mortgage deeds, mutation documents, Parchas, Khatian, and related records.
Handle land registration, mutation, miss cases, authority permissions, and other land-related legal matters.
Monitor and coordinate ongoing suits and cases involving UCEP Bangladesh before relevant courts, tribunals, and other legal forums.
Maintain and regularly update land records, legal registers, documents, and organizational records.
Ensure timely payment and compliance related to land development tax, municipal tax, lease rent, and other applicable obligations.
