Job Description

Munshi HR Solutions Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to manage costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, budgeting support, and financial reporting activities. The role requires strong knowledge of cost and management accounting, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost data and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities & Context

Prepare and regularly update product/service cost sheets, ensuring accurate and timely costing information.

Calculate material, labor, overhead, and total production costs and maintain proper supporting records.

Monitor actual costs against standard and budgeted costs, identify variances, and investigate significant deviations.

Analyze cost variances and prepare clear explanations and practical recommendations for management.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, including necessary reconciliations.

Prepare periodic costing, inventory, profitability, and management reports to support business decision-making.

Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Store, and Finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, audits, and cost-saving initiatives.
