Job Description
  • Pally Bikash Kendra is a national-level NGO working with PKSF, banks, financial institutions and its own funding to implement microfinance and other development programs across Bangladesh. The organization is recruiting an Area Manager (Microfinance Program) to support expansion of its work areas. The position will oversee loan and financial service operations, supervise branch performance, ensure target achievement, improve profitability and maintain operational quality.

    • Bachelor degree in any discipline

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Set and monitor annual and monthly targets for member growth, loan disbursement and recovery across assigned branches.
  • Control overdue loans and provide strategic guidance for recovery of defaulted loans.
  • Regularly visit centers/associations to monitor field activities and verify proper utilization of loans.
  • Review loan applications within the Area Manager’s approval limit and recommend approval.
  • Evaluate branch managers and staff performance and ensure professionalism.
  • Ensure proper staff allocation and recommend transfers when necessary.
  • Resolve branch-level internal conflicts and disciplinary issues.
  • Regularly monitor branch cash and bank transactions to prevent financial irregularities.
  • Take corrective measures based on internal audit findings.
  • Ensure branch operational expenses remain within budget.
  • Collect branch progress reports and submit consolidated reports to senior management.
