Job Description
  • SKS Foundation, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh, is implementing the Promoting Adaptive Nutrition and Infrastructure (PANI) Project. The WASH Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical support for planning, designing, supervising, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of WASH infrastructure, particularly climate- and flood-resilient facilities in project locations.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Conduct technical site assessments, surveys, feasibility studies, and site verification for WASH infrastructure.
  • Prepare, review, and update technical designs, drawings, BOQs, cost estimates, specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Supervise construction and installation of WASH infrastructure, ensuring compliance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, and climate-resilient principles.
  • Monitor construction materials, workmanship, measurements, progress, and contractor/supplier performance.
  • Conduct regular field inspections, technical measurements, quality checks, and construction progress assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain measurement sheets, inspection reports, technical progress reports, completion certificates, snag lists, and photographic records.
  • Monitor physical and financial progress and identify technical, quality, safety, environmental, and implementation risks.
  • Develop and facilitate WASH training, capacity-building sessions, training materials, facilitator guides, checklists, and practical exercises.
  • Provide technical coaching to Water User Associations, School Management Committees, community volunteers, caretakers, and other WASH stakeholders.
