Job Description
  • Asgar Ali Hospital is looking for Patient Care Attendants (PCA) to provide essential patient support and basic nursing assistance across different hospital units, including OT, Special Care Unit, and Radiology. The role involves safely transporting and assisting patients, supporting nurses with basic patient care, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, handling equipment and supplies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Assist with basic patient care, including repositioning and safely transferring patients between beds, wheelchairs, and different hospital areas.
  • Transport patients to and from operating theatres, special care units, radiology, wards, and other designated areas.
  • Assist nurses with basic nursing care, including bathing, showering, sponging, and shaving patients under supervision.
  • Prepare pre- and post-operative beds and assist with patient admission and discharge procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and respectful relationship with patients, visitors, nurses, and other staff.
  • Collect blood and other required items from the Blood Bank, Pharmacy, and General Stores as instructed.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and hygienic patient rooms and hospital units.
  • Clean, sterilize, maintain, and properly store instruments and equipment under supervision.
  • Check wheelchairs, trolleys, and other assigned equipment regularly to ensure they are in working condition.
  • Assist Radiology staff by transporting patients, portable X-ray and ultrasound equipment, X-rays, and reports as required.
