Job Description

KARNAPHULI INSURANCE PLC is seeking a talented and proactive Asstt. Manager (Software Developer) for its IT Department at the Head Office in Dhaka. The position is responsible for software development, backend API services, ERP systems, database management, and software lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Python and Java, practical experience with Django, Django REST Framework and FastAPI, and solid knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases. The role also involves ERP security, data analytics, technical support, and software maintenance.

Responsibilities & Context

Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using technologies such as Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Develop and maintain backend API services using Django REST Framework, FastAPI, and related Python frameworks.

Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including system design, documentation, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Design, manage, and maintain databases using Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL while ensuring data integrity.

Provide technical support and training to ERP users and assist in resolving software-related issues.

Create and manage ERP data analytics, dashboards, and reports according to organizational requirements.

Maintain ERP system security and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and security standards.

Regularly update, patch, upgrade, and maintain ERP software and related systems.

Collaborate with technical teams on software quality assurance, DevOps, security, cloud, data, and application development activities as required.

Troubleshoot software and system issues and apply effective problem-solving and coding skills to ensure smooth IT operations.
