Job Description
  • This role manages local purchasing and vendor operations across business units at Akij Venture Group. It focuses on sourcing quality materials, spare parts, and services at competitive local market prices. The executive tracks requisitions, evaluates supplier bids, and coordinates prompt deliveries to support manufacturing and office routines. Regular coordination with factory managers, store teams, and local vendors is essential to eliminate production delays. Ultimately, it ensures transparent, cost-effective, and uninterrupted local supply operations.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Local Sourcing: Source raw materials, engineering spares, and consumables from local markets as per department requisitions.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Collect multiple price quotations, evaluate bids, and negotiate favorable prices and credit terms with vendors.
  • PO Generation: Process approved purchase requisitions and issue accurate Purchase Orders (POs) through the ERP system.
  • Delivery Coordination: Follow up with suppliers and transport teams to ensure on-time delivery to respective plants and offices.
  • Quality & Quantity Verification: Inspect received items against PO specifications and challans in coordination with central store teams.
