Job Description
  • Bangladesh-China Power Company Limited (BCPCL) is seeking a qualified Sub-Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) to support operations at its Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant. The selected candidate will assist in maintaining mechanical equipment and supporting engineering operations within the power generation facility. The role involves monitoring mechanical systems, assisting with equipment inspections, and supporting maintenance activities. The candidate will coordinate with engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The position requires technical knowledge, practical problem-solving abilities, and compliance with industrial safety standards.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Assist in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical equipment used in power generation.
  • Monitor the performance of mechanical systems, pumps, compressors, and associated plant machinery.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Identify mechanical faults and assist senior engineers in troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Maintain equipment inspection records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Follow industrial safety procedures and support compliance with operational standards.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and operational teams to support efficient power plant performance.
