Job Context
  • Skilled in using accounting and ERP software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) for financial data entry, report generation, and system control.
  • In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh VAT & Tax laws, return preparation, submission procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong ability to prepare and analyze Management Information System (MIS) reports for decision-making, performance evaluation, and strategic planning.
  • Advanced command over Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards) and good working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and database management tools.
Job Responsibilities
  • Check, verify, and process the monthly salary sheet, and prepare the salary disbursement sheet in coordination with the HR and Payroll teams.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly comparative Profit & Loss Accounts and present analytical summaries to the management.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely submission and statutory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns to the VAT authorities in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly withholding tax returns and ensure proper deduction and deposit of taxes at source.
  • Prepare and submit annual company income tax returns in accordance with the Income Tax Ordinance.
  • Maintain and organize all VAT, Tax, Audit, and Financial documents in a systematic filing system (both physical and digital).
  • Calculate bank loan interest and prepare reports on liability positions for management review.
  • Prepare and provide various financial and management reports (MIS) to support day-to-day operations and decision-making.
  • Prepare RJSC returns and ensure timely submission to the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms (RJSC).
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the accounting software, maintaining integrity and consistency of financial data.
  • Create and manage ledger accounts for new vendors, doctors, employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain control and oversight of the accounting software, ensuring proper user access, data accuracy, and security.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost analysis as required by the management.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all audit queries are addressed promptly.
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT and Tax laws and advise management on compliance requirements and implications.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, banks, and auditors to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or higher management.
